The digitization intern will work primarily processing a large volume of physical documents which will entail organization, delineation, and digitization.

  • Anthropology
  • History
  • Museum studies
Student Qualifications
  • Familiarity with historic documents.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of record keeping processes and paper filing systems. 
  • Skill in standard office software.
  • Experience with database systems.
  • Willingness to learn data processing techniques
  • Knowledge of or experience with imaging software.
  • Is comfortable in an environment that might require flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to travel to Oliver Kelley Farm
  • Ability to work in various locations including dusty non climate controlled environments with variable lighting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Student Responsibilities
  • Organize, sort, interfile, and rebox archival collections
  • Label folders and boxes with clarity and accuracy.
  • Prepare box inventories, finding aids, and indexes.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, XML documents, and other electronic files.
  • Proof data for accuracy.
  • Perform technical services related to digital collection objects, including digitization, data entry, and object linking.
  • Other processing projects, as identified.
  • Consult with OKF Program Supervisors as appropriate.
Knowledge Intern is expected to gain

This internship will focus on the technical aspects of organizing a large volume of historic physical documents by subject/topic, and moving documents into modern storage systems including but not limited to digital files.
